The Great Learning

3 08 2009

On Friday, I’m going to go and see people doing a version of this at the Tate.

Reasons to go:

  1. It is free.
  2. I’ll be there (this may be a reason NOT to go)
  3. There will be cocktails.
  4. There’s be people wandering around with saxophones.
  5. There’s going to be animation.

What’s not to like.

However, for those of you who don’t like such things, I’ve found a YouTube video I hope you’ll enjoy instead.

It’s Peter Stringfellow isn’t it. A pity he “remembered to breathe”.

I was quite tempted until we got to the “people wandering around with saxophones”.

And it’s not Stringfellow, it’s Chet Baker if he’d cleaned up his act in the 70s.

Sorry Billster – I got scared after the weird talking hen man came on and had to go and hide behind the sofa…

I’m sure the Stockhausen will be even scarier….

;?

Remind me to post up a pic of Eno’s pretend write ups for a new Stockhausen LP:

“It rocks!” – Cosmopolitan

and so on…

Rog – There is a certain resemblance, but I couldn’t watch it more than once.

Tim – You can’t walk very quickly with a saxophone, so they should be easy to avoid.

Mort – Yeah the hen man is somewhat odd, although not the oddest thing in that video.
